What temperature do Buff Orpington Hens have to be kept at in order for them to keep laying through the winter?

I am keeping Buff Orpingtons for the first time and would like to know how warm they must be kept during the winter so that I know if I need to insulate my coop and add electricity to keep it warm.

It’s not so much the temp as the amount of light. Hens need up to 18 hours a day of light for them to lay well. However, they still have the molt to go through which can start anytime in the fall – early winter. So to get the best out of them over the winter add a light to the coop and increase the amount of protein in their diet when they start molting.
